Hello,
ReplyDeleteMy name is Harry Swartout and I produce the Narrative Podcast for Sports Illustrated. I am planning on doing an episode on World War II's effect on baseball (with an emphasis on the minor leagues).
I would like to set up an interview to talk about the history of the New York - Penn League, before, during and after the war and how the war altered the path of MLB hopefuls and the landscape of the league.
I have a special connection to the former PONY league, because my grandfather played for the London/Hornell Pirates in 1941-2. I would love to learn more about him as well and what kind of league he played in.
The interview would take less than an hour and could be conducted over Skype or the telephone.
Here is an example of the podcast so you can hear the tone of the show and how your interview would be used.
